Variety is the Spice of Life
If variety is the spice of life, this trip is your entire spice rack. Just see what we will be doing!
Consider coffee at a wonderful coffee house right where the beans are roasted – then think about a picnic on the banks of the Mississippi River – and then there is lunch at a spa that is rated one of the top 10 in the world. Let’s add in a meal in an Amish home. Variety!
We take a tour of Pine Creek Grist Mill which is Iowa’s oldest operational mill. I wonder if you will notice anything similar between that and the New Vedic City in Fairfield? Variety!
What a great visual experience it will be to see the quilt exhibit in Kalona- compare that to the lively Art District in Fairfield! Variety!
We will stop for a quiet stroll through the Gladys Black Memorial and for a change of pace board the Mississippi Belle for a Big Band cruise. Like a little more noise? It is optional, but you can take in a little gambling at the Isle of Capri Casino where we will be staying. Variety!
Ah, the aroma of fresh baked goodies at an Amish bakery, the industrial fragrance of a factory at work as we tour Musco Lighting, Harper Brush Factory, and the cheese factory. Variety!
We are not finished yet- as we have an opportunity to see the Maharishi Vedic Observatory, learn the history of Muscatine and the “Pearl Button Capital of the World” the Maharish University of Management and an Amish church. Variety!
